charte des auteurs et illustrateurs rencontre While the warmer temperatures and longer days are the long-awaited proof that we’re inching ever closer to summer, we still need a hefty dollop of good news to get us through this final stretch of winter. And luckily for you lot, we’ve got a big sackful of it — because while Ibiza undoubtedly slows down during the colder months, there are other places in the world where the tempo ramps up a gear and it goes without saying that at Mambo, we like to get in on the action. Consequently, we’ve got a selection of international dates unfolding over the next few months, meaning you can dive face first into getting your Mambo fix.
First up and we’re heading over to the scorching hot climes of Dubai, where over the coming weeks, Café Mambo will be in cahoots with master spinners including Booka Shade, Mark Knight and Steve Lawler, who’ll all be bringing an aural extravaganza to the city’s sparkling shores. Mambo’s weekly residency at the famous Dubai venue is a chance to experience world class DJs beneath a blanket of endless starry skies — with some of the world’s top talent stopping by on a regular basis. MK’s show in January was a knockout, for instance.
March ushers in a non-stop ramble around the globe, first stop: Manchester Albert Hall on 7 March with Mambo favourites including Ben Santiago and Lovely Laura, Erik Hagleton and Tough Love bringing the Balearic vibes up north. A transatlantic journey later and we’ll be in Miami for the infamous Miami Music Week on 22 March. Special guests are still to be announced but with a bona fide Ibiza takeover planned you can guarantee we’ll be making the most of all that spring sunshine.
Later into the year and Mambo’s own Mambo Brothers are heading to London for a stint at clubbing behemoth, Printworks on 11th April. Raving devotees can catch their favourite duo in action alongside a range of Defected superstars including Simon Dunmore, Sam Divine, Riva Starr and Jess Bays. Kenny Dope and Inner City live will also be making appearances. A day rave designed to send you into a hopping spin, this one’s not to be missed — even the easter bunny might turn up. Unless he’s hiding out in Dublin, of course, where a simultaneous Mambo takeover is taking place on 11 April at Twenty Two Dublin. Mambo resident Erik Hagleton is spearheading the charge here. We’re rounding off the easter celebrations at The Social in Glasgow on Sunday 12 April.
Finally, and this is perhaps the biggest news of all, we’re delighted to announce that the Mambo Brothers are also set to appear across both weekends at Tomorrowland 2020. A sellout within five minutes, Tomorrowland has undoubtedly become the hottest festival ticket on the planet, and our boys will be there to sprinkle a little Ibizan flavouring on Belgian proceedings. Catch them from 17-19 July and 24-26 July for one of the maddest outdoor raves in the world and let’s get properly stuck in. Then head straight to Ibiza for more of the same, yeah? We’ll be waiting.
