Christmas At Casa Maca!

2e rencontre internationale de land art While most people flock to the white isle in summertime, when its blue skies, sandy beaches and sunsets draw admirers from around the globe, locals know that the time the island really shines is in winter. The festive season is particularly special, thanks to the air of excitement that hangs in the crisp air and communities who band together to celebrate the most magical time of the year. This feeling is especially palpable at Mambo’s sister venue, Casa Maca, where we assemble the trees, dust off the tinsel, and polish our vocal cords ready to sing Christmas carols long into the twilit night.

Yes, Christmastime at Casa Maca is taken very seriously indeed, that’s why this year we’re hosting our second ever Christmas market. Taking place across two weekends, from 14-15 and 21-22 December, this is an opportunity for all the family to jump feet first into the festivities. There’ll be an abundance of mince pies and mulled wine, of course, which you can sup while browsing an array of scrumptious food stalls, though you’ll need to (briefly) set them aside to make the most of all that’s on offer at the creative craft stalls.

And there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained too, not least Santa’s Grotto, where little ones can have their photo taken with the big man himself in exchange for a donation to charity, and a bona fide winter wonderland, designed to make their imaginations run wild. Admission is free, so come with a group of friends and family, make merry in the decorated gardens and head home with a sackful of goodies and the chorus of ‘Ding Dong Merrily on High’ echoing in your ears. And with all this conviviality doing the rounds, it’s safe to say Scrooge doesn’t get a look in on Ibiza.
