100 free online dating site in usa and canada This summer is full to bursting with momentous occasions for Mambo. It’s our 25th anniversary for a start — something we can’t wait celebrate with you all — but more than that, Mambo founder and our top man, Javier Anadon, is being honoured at IMS Ibiza with the prestigious title of IMS legend. Every year at IMS one individual who’s made an enormous contribution to the music industry and the island is chosen to receive the award, and we couldn’t be more proud that this year the title is going to Javi — the man behind the legend.

At the time the island was a totally different place, populated by free spirits and hippies who heard on the breeze that the island was a secret paradise. For him and his wife, it was love at first sight, so they set about making a life on the white isle. Almost two decades later, they opened Mambo, with no idea then what it would grow to become. Since then, of course, it’s played host to some of the world’s biggest electronic music stars, from Fatboy Slim to Paul Oakenfeld, David Guetta to Pete Tong. And of course, it’s become the most famous place on Ibiza to watch sunset — that heady combination of great views and good vibes working to cement its place in the history books.
If you’re a regular at Mambo these days then it’s probably Javier’s sons, Christian and Alan aka the Mambo Brothers, who you’ve come to know as the faces of the venue, but their pioneering dad is still on hand, doling out wisdom and watching admiringly as his family takes on the reins of one of Ibiza’s most treasured hotspots.
But on Wednesday 22 May it’ll be Javi receiving all the admiration, as he collects his award in front of the industry’s leading figures at the IMS Legends dinner, hosted at our sister venue, Casa Maca. Some of you won’t be able to be there but we hope that instead you’ll join us at some point in summer 2019, to raise a chupito in honour of the man who started it all. Here’s to you, Javi, thanks for all the incredible, sun-tinged memories.
