Robin Schulz Takes Over Ibiza.
It was a noteworthy F**K Me Im Famous preparty last Thursday, as the month long Robin Schulz takeover at Pacha landed at Mambo amid much excitement. Making his debut appearance at Mambo, the German DJ and producer, with a string of #1 hits behind his name, attracted a large crowd and a sold out terrace and VIP area. He was joined by Show Me Love producer Sam Feldt and fellow Dutch DJ´s Deepend whose recent release Intoxicated has been doing quite well for itself in the charts. There was a real buzz of anticipation in the air as Deepend were the first to get the Pacha pre party underway a little after sunset at 8.30pm.
The talented Dutch duo treated us to some smooth deep house and dropped a cool remake of the Bill Withers classic, Who Is He by Alaia & Gallo, before they were joined in the DJ Booth by Sam Feldt introducing us to Runaway the brand new single from Feldt and Deepend. The crowd were nicely warmed up at this stage and were ready for his big smash hit Show Me Love which was followed by a remix of Turn Around by Phats and Small. He finished his set with a number of house classics tightly mixed before leaving us with Firestorm by the Norwegian producer Kygo.
Feldts high energy set was a perfect introduction for Robin Schulz ,who expertly delayed his first track to ensure a break between the two sets. He stared deep with a number of unreleased tunes before we were treated to a surprise live performance by vocalist Richard Judge of Schulz´s big hit Show Me Love. It was a special Ibiza moment at Mambo and the crowd really responded to the song, singing along and clapping the performance.
He then played his 2015 anthem Sugar along with the brand new track from Nervo, People Grinnin. It was a memorable and enjoyable night and one of the best FMFI Pacha pre parties we have had in a long time. After his set many of the crowd remained to try and catch a moment with Robin Schulz, who spent time talking to fans and posing for the all important selfie before departing to Pacha where he was beginning his September residency at the club, taking over from David Guetta
