Dee Montero’s DJ career began when he won the Vestax mixing championships at age 17 in 1995. This led to him securing his first residency at the infamous Network club in his native town of Belfast playing alongside early tech house pioneers Dave Seaman, Ian Ossia and Parks & Wilson.
In 2000, when the Network club shut its doors, Dee packed his bags and headed for the White Isle – Ibiza. Thinking he would only last three weeks of the season he not only survived his first, but also returned for the following five seasons taking up residency at venues such as Cafe Mambo, Pacha, Space and Amnesia.
Since 2008 Dee was based in Hong Kong where he brought over respected artists in order to raise awarness of undergound music in Asia. After 5 years in the far East, Dee returned back to Ibiza to Cafe Mambo for another season playing alongside some of the biggest names in the industry.
